At first glance, Sonic Frontiers should take some mechanics from other open world games , with scouting towers, high-altitude grind or even puzzles with mechanisms to activate and obviously knock out giant enemies. While it's hard to form an opinion with just a few snippets, it could well be that the game is " the big leap forward for the license " hoped for by the developers, even if the game looks pretty empty.
