En Skylanders Trap Team, Kaos continúa su búsqueda para gobernar Skylands. Ha descubierto la ubicación de la legendaria prisión Cloudcracker, una fortaleza construida enteramente con la sustancia mágica Traptanium y hogar de los más nefastos villanos de Skylands. En un intento de crear su propio ejército de enemigos, Kaos vuela la prisión, liberando a los villanos más buscados y lanzando fragmentos de Traptanium a la Tierra en forma de trampas.
