Em Skylanders Trap Team, a Kaos continua a sua busca contínua para governar Skylands. Descobriu a localização da lendária prisão Cloudcracker - uma fortaleza construída inteiramente a partir da substância mágica Traptanium e lar dos mais nefastos maus da Skylanders. Numa tentativa de construir o seu próprio exército de inimigos, a Kaos explode a prisão, libertando os vilões mais procurados e detonando estilhaços de Traptânio para a Terra sob a forma de Armadilhas.
