Shovel Knight is one of those great independent game stories, funded through Kickstarter, that has totally taken off to allow its development studio, Yacht Club Games, to grow and expand its universe far beyond the original game.
After multiple expansions, the Shovel Knight series has seen its first spin-off game with Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon, a puzzle game released in December 2021. A second game will arrive in September: Shovel Knight Dig.
Announced several years ago, Shovel Knight Dig took four years to develop, in partnership with Nitrone. The game takes up the character of Shovel Knight in a game mixing platform and dungeon-crawling, for the greatest pleasure of roguelite games fans.
