Baldur's Gate 3

The land of Faerûn is in turmoil. Refugees cross the wilds, fleeing the helltorn stronghold of Elturel. A vicious cult marches across the Sword Coast, uniting every race of monsters and men under the banner of a cryptic god they call the Absolute. Chaos strikes at Faerûn's foundations, and none may escape its talons. Not even you.

The grotesque nautiloid ship appears out of nowhere, blotting out the sun. Its writhing tentacles snatch you from where you stand. The mind flayers have come, imprisoning you on their ship, infecting you with their horrid parasite. You will become one of them.

By fate or fortune, you survive when the nautiloid crashes in the Sword Coast outlands. You set out for civilisation, desperate for a cure for the parasite festering in your brain, only to take centre stage in a conspiracy that runs as deep as the Nine Hells. New enemies await.

As for old foes... the shadows stir.
And all roads lead to the legendary city of Baldur's Gate.

A new Paladin class is coming to Baldur's Gate III!

Other features include the ability to upgrade to level 5 and a revised Reactions system.

Larian Studios announced the release of their next game for August 2023 at the Game Awards 2023, but a fresh patch has since been made public. With level 5 and its stronger spells, but especially with the Paladin class, the ninth update for Baldur's Gate III is not short on material. Along with all of this, the reaction system has been reorganized and numerous adjustments have been made to improve the game's fluidity.

Believe in the Paladin's light.

Baldur's Gate III introduces the much-anticipated Paladin class, complete with unique characteristics. Despite relying mostly on Strength, Charisma, and Constitution, the Paladin class gains advantages from every quality. She is capable of entering battle with a shield and all common and military weaponry. And benefits from a robust armour to protect its friends as much as feasible.

At the time of its inception, the class has access to the Oath of the Ancients and the Oath of Devotion. The former highlights the struggle between light and darkness and reveals a Paladin who values life's purity. He is an honorable knight fighting for the welfare of all and the defense of the weak when he swears the Oath of Devotion. However, the Paladin can access a third class called Perjury by breaching the Oath in any fashion. A more sinister aspect of the vigilante who embraces the dark to further his goals.

The Paladin can deal, take, or heal strikes because of his affinity for light. He is incredibly adaptable and especially good at shielding his teammates. But as he gains knowledge, it will be possible to bolster one of his attributes and increase his effectiveness.

A crucial update for Baldur's Gate users

Of course, Baldur's Gate III patch 9 includes more additions than just the Paladin. Up to level 5, experience is gained, and new, potent spells are revealed for all classes. Along with it, the creatures from Act 1's conclusion become upgraded, and the AI gets stronger in some circumstances. Humanoid PnJs have grown more potent; they no longer hesitate to heal those who are most in need or to concentrate on the group's weakest members.

Additionally, a minor revision to the reaction system has been made to facilitate access. Between fights, all interactions can be easily checked or unchecked in a dedicated menu. In addition, other aspects are updated before to the game's launch to ensure the best possible user experience.
