NERF GUARDIAN RAIDS AND ABYSS DUNGEONS
What content will be facilitated in Lost Ark?
Last night, Roxx , the Community Manager of Lost Ark, posted a topic on the official forum in which she confirms nerfs to this content:
- Yoho, the fire fox
- Cradle of the Necromancer
- Hall of the Twisted Warlord
- Hildebrandt Palace
- lazy sea
This change will take place during the update of the week, whose patch notes will arrive very soon. The reason given for these changes is that a lot of player feedback gives the impression that some content is more frustrating than fun.
What to think?
This is quite a complex question. Let's start with Guardian Raids . Seeing the content facilitated so quickly is quite worrying, as it could be a sign of a community unwilling to understand strategies. However, specifically for Guardian Raids , we think it's a good thing.
Indeed, it must be recognized that at the moment, Guardian Raids are undoubtedly some of the hardest content in the game, and not for the right reasons: Some of them are indeed real sponges , having far too many life points . We sincerely think that having fights with the exact same mechanics, but with just less HP for Raid Guardians would be a great thing, and would greatly motivate people to do their raids every day... because currently, it's is just too long, which maximizes the chances of wipes for everyday content.
The Abyss Dungeons are thought to be much more controversial, compared to the incoming nerf . Indeed, this content is weekly, and requires a certain organization, especially in matchmaking, where it can be difficult to make the group understand the strategy. In fact, the biggest fear players have is that the nerf to the first two thirds of difficulty wo n't educate players who will arrive at T3, without having dealt with mechanics punishing enough to be careful.
In another post, Roxx tells us that for some of the content listed, less than 10% of the groups that go on it come out victorious . She also clarifies that these nerfs are mainly for the early game , namely the start of high-level content . The goal is not to facilitate very high level content , but rather to facilitate access to it.
But something very important to understand here: T3 Abyss Dungeons are easier than T2 Abyss Dungeons!! . This nerf will therefore make the progression curve logical, and it's obviously the same thing on the side of the guardians who have more or less HP for no real reason.
The announcement is enough to reassure some of the players, and to scare another part, perhaps more hardcore , but we think there is nothing really to worry about here. The most difficult content is not yet available anyway.
