While Ubisoft usually holds a conference on the occasion of E3, the last few years have upset the tradition. Due to COVID, the publisher was forced to switch to a dematerialized format in 2020. The Ubisoft Forward has since become the French publisher's main means of communication. We remember that other streams took place in September 2020, but also in June 2021. For this year, the summer meeting could nevertheless be a little off.
We remember that last March, Tom Henderson explained that according to his sources, Ubisoft would hold a big conference before E3. But we imagine that recent events (including the war in Ukraine) may have forced the publisher to review its plans. We recall that Ubisoft has a studio in kyiv.
Ubisoft: a back-to-school conference?
According to information from Axios , Ubisoft will not hold any conferences next June. The publisher seems to prefer to save its cartridges for later in the year. We do not know if we will therefore see a Ubi Forward in July, August, or if we will have to wait until the start of the school year. However, the firm has enough to make a nice conference.
Indeed, several games should be talking about waters. We think of The Crew 3, Assassin's Creed Rift (if its name is confirmed), the sequel to Immortal Fenyx Rising, or even the game Prince of Persia in 2.5D. Additionally, based on the latest financial reports, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Skull and Bones are in the works and slated for release before March 31, 2023.
That's not to mention the projects that are dormant, like Beyond Good & Evil 2. We also know that the Ubi Forward are an opportunity for the publisher to share news on all its games already released. We can therefore expect information on Rainbow Six Quarantine, R6 Siege, and why not Rollers Champions.
